Fujisoku / ITT Cannon 38 Pin SRAM Card (Star Card)

The 38 Pin "Star Card" from Fujisoku & ITT Cannon provides a unique solution for transporting digital data practically anywhere.

The removable credit-card-sized Memory Card, offers a choice of either Battery backed SRAM or Flash, with capacities from 128K to 1Meg.

With the read / write times of normal memory chips, long life batteries for SRAM and the specially designed interconnect system which prevents "Latch Up" : the card records and stores information like a floppy disk and is removable with power on with no loss of data.

But unlike a disk the Star Card is exceptionally fast; has low power consumption, no moving parts, no drive electronics, and with the steel packaging of the card offering protection against static electrically and magnetic interference, vibration, contamination and mechanical damage.

The easily implemented small lightweight card with expendable memory offers a unique answer for Designers of Portable Computer / Instrumentation / Industrial markets to incorporate Star Cards into their products.
