CFast (1.0" SSD)
The CFast card is designed to replace existing rotating media and Compact Flash in applications requiring long life endurance, small form factor and the ability to withstand shock, vibration, high altitude and temperature fluctuations. The CFast allows for easy field upgrades in a rugged and secure form factor and is available in a broad range of densities from 4GB to 32GB and features speeds up to 135MB/s read and 130MB/s write. The S.M.A.R.T. command support, Flash Wear Leveling, Write protection, and power cycling features enhance the overall performance of the product over its lifetime.
CFast cards use a 7-pin SATA data connector (identical to the standard SATA connector), but a 17-pin power connector that appears compatible with the standard 15-pin SATA power connector, so an adaptor is required to connect CFast cards in place of standard SATA hard drives.
